Lu Xinjian abstractly evokes shanghai’s city center in lights
Developed using Google Earth imagery of the city, and then reworked in his signature style, Lu Xinjian continues his exploration of how to visualize city DNA in representative colors and patterns by depicting the heart of Shanghai with graphic brilliance. ‘City light’ is centered on a small blue square, with a network of neon tubes arranged over its surface abstractly portraying the Chinese metropolis’ city plan.
